About Leah

Red Orchid's Traditional Chinese Medicine's Director/Practitioner LEAH BONSALL is a fully qualified acupuncturist, herbalist and massage therapist.

Leah completed a Bachelors Degree in Applied Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at the University of Western Sydney (UWS) and Sydney Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SITCM).

Leah trained for 3 years alongside an esteemed practitioner in a well established clinic in Sydney and as part of her university training, she completed a hospital internship at Jiangsu provincial hospital in Nanjing, China. Leah was inspired with the integration of Traditional Chinese Medicine with Western Medicine and her present practice aims at supporting the combination of both medical systems.

In China, Leah’s specialty training of Herbal Medicine was in the Oncology and Gynecology departments. In the Acupuncture department she was involved in treatment of conditions including insomnia, depression, weight loss, pediatric conditions, musculoskeletal conditions and paralysis.

Leah is interested in women’s health and in particular fertility and pregnancy care and musculoskeletal disorders. She has established a successful practice on the south coast and is currently an acupuncturist at The Acupuncture IVF Support Clinic (acupunctureivf.com.au), and the Burraneer Wellness Centre; Shire Natural Fertility (burraneerwellness.com.au and shirenaturalfertility.com.au) in Sydney.

Leah is a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association.
